Arabella Herrmann
PCC Trainee
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we are called to love others as Jesus loves us. I seek to embody kindness and understanding in all therapeutic relationships, recognizing that everyone is carrying something unseen. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and unconditionally valued.
My clinical interests focus on working with adolescents, and I am passionate about supporting young people as they navigate the unique challenges of identity, emotional development, and relationships during this pivotal stage of life. I am particularly interested in specializing in trauma, grief, and loss. I have volunteered for two summers with Camp Mourning in Azusa and Riverside, a program that supports children and adolescents grieving the death of a loved one. Through this experience, I was introduced to the power of play therapy, especially in helping children express and process their emotions in a safe and developmentally appropriate way. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with Specialization in Children and Adolescents at Azusa Pacific University. My education is grounded in evidence-based practice while also allowing for the integration of faith-based perspectives when appropriate.
I believe therapy is a meaningful and powerful tool that, when paired with spiritual insight and personal reflection, can bring lasting healing and transformation. I approach each client with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to helping them rediscover strength within themselves.
