Cheristin Bhola
MFT Trainee
Hi, I’m Cheristin! I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee in the final year of my master’s program at Biola University. For me, therapy has been a place where I can bring my whole self — with all of my struggles and brokenness — and be met with love, compassion, and grace. Through that experience, I’ve been reminded time and time again of this truth: God loves me and has good plans for me. My prayer is to offer the same care and compassion to my clients.
During my undergraduate studies, I completed a research project on gratitude and interpersonal relationships at the University of Oxford, which deepened my desire to see research impact clinical practice. I have completed Level I training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am also a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. My hope is to walk with clients as they journey toward healing and wholeness.
“The true God gives new life, deeper, richer life, and helps us toward full mature humanness, by prising open the clenched fists of our fears in order to give his own life and love into our empty and waiting hands” — Tom Wright
