Frank Perio

I am currently a trainee in my final year of the Marriage and Family Therapist graduate program at APU, which includes coursework for Professional Clinical Counselor. I gained previous internship experience at an elementary school during my undergraduate program in Social Work last year. Combining my faith with therapy has been crucial in my transition to an educational career, which I began almost nine years ago, following a multi-state, decade-long mechanical and construction career. People are brought into our lives to help guide us through life's speed bumps. Twenty years ago, my brother introduced me to my faith, which led to a beautiful therapy journey that began nine years ago and has been instrumental in helping me navigate life's challenges, including growing up in a single-parent household. My journey with those who took the time to hear me and try to understand is the inspiration that drives me to give back and help guide others through life's difficulties.
