Maritza Thorpe

MFT Trainee

Two guiding constants in my life have been my faith in God and my desire to help others. I am honored and humbled to work with individuals of all ages who are seeking support, growth, and healing.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2024 and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Jessup University in Rocklin, California, as part of my training toward licensure. Throughout my education, I have found deep personal and relational growth through integrating biblical principles with psychological theories and therapeutic practices. This integration has also shaped how I serve others, including applying my learning in meaningful ways in my role as a seasoned children’s ministry teacher.

My therapeutic approach begins with curiosity about your story. I believe each person is created with inherent strengths and God-given gifts, and my role is to help you recognize and build upon them. Whatever brings you into therapy, we will work together to increase self-awareness, strengthen confidence, and develop practical tools—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually—to support you in your current season of life.

During difficult times, we all need someone to walk alongside us and hold hope when it feels hard to find. I will strive to provide a safe, compassionate space where growth and healing can take root and transform your journey..
